RHP Architects are a large Brighton architectural firm. They commissioned us to help them support their planning permission application for the proposed St Barnabas House Hospice development.
Makemedia were asked to create a 2-minute animation that would fully realise the architectural plans for the new St Barnabas House Hospice. In addition, because the Hospice were launching a fundraising campaign to fund the proposed development, our animation had potential as a marketing tool as well.
Firstly we used the full architectural plans to create an accurate 3D visualisation of how the new hospice would look, down to the specialist oxidised copper they planned to use. We then animated these visuals to create a virtual tour outside of the building and inside through the proposed reception area, cafeteria and bedrooms.
But to help the hospice raise money, we knew we needed to go further. We managed to get hold of Cine Film footage of the original hospice and spliced that together with our animation to illustrate how far the charity had progressed and how much more they would be able to do with new up-to-date facilities.
We deliberately kept costs low as our own charitable contribution to the organisation.
