The Makemedia team is comprised of highly talented individuals, who work effectively as a team for the benefit of our clients. As an agency we value talent and communication very highly as we believe that these traits are inherent, where as skills can be learnt.

Where did you come from?

I grew up in Winchester, which is very pretty but a bit on the dull side. Like most of the kids growing up there I escaped as soon as I could.

I ended up in Oxford studying computing at Brookes, though unfortunately it was a case of out of the frying pan and into the fire as Oxford is very pretty but a bit on the dull side. Doh!

Escaping once more after my degree I headed down to Brighton. Third time lucky as Brighton may not be quite as pretty as Oxford or Winchester but life down here certainly isn’t dull.

What can you do?

Most of my experience has been involved with backend development, coding up solutions using ASP.NET, C# and SQL Server though have dabbled with a fair few different technologies over the years.

I have been delving more into jQuery recently as it finally makes it a pleasure to code in JavaScript and developing AJAX solutions with it are far more lean and fast than ASP.NET’s somewhat clunky implementation.

What do you do?

My work at MakeMedia is always varied and I have worked on projects ranging from e-commerce, and classifieds to developing online communities.

Currently my role involves developing solutions, working with the production team and ensuring that development, design and testing are co-coordinated and providing support when required.

What do you like?

Brighton has a real buzz and there’s always something to get involved in. I put on a club night with a friend every couple of months down on the seafront and do a bit of DJing in town when people let me behind the decks.

Other endeavours include trying to track down the best pub lunch in town, cold beers on the seafront and trying to avoid becoming too Brightonised. I have already turned veggy and I don’t know how much longer it will be before I start dressing like I got my wardrobe in Goa....
