“I get to meet interesting people, get challenged with problems to solve and get to wander round the North Laines thinking. You can tell how the day is going by the amount of espressos that I have had to drink!”

Where did you come from?

Originally from Dorset (Darzet), I’ve worked and lived mostly around London with the occasional job requiring a slightly longer commute. I got my degree up in High Wycombe at what was then the Buckinghamshire College of H.E and I think is now called the Bucks New University, and studied Business Information Technology.

My background is mostly in Operations management, running field technical teams, helpdesks, project managers and generally getting stuck in with the challenges of growing a business. Oh yeah, and I wish I had moved to Brighton years ago, it’s a great place to work and live.

What can you do?

I can’t walk on my hands, paint abstract art or ride a unicycle. What I believe I am able to do is deal with situations calmly and execute ideas and solutions quickly. I love representing Makemedia and enjoy meeting other businesses, understanding their challenges and sharing experiences with them.

What do you do?

I started as a consultant here in 2009 as the company were experiencing unprecedented growth at the time. We spent most of 2009 dealing with a large 3D simulation project and creating a structure for the business. As Operational Director I manage the production sides of the business to achieve our strategic goals.

What do you like?

I love cars and have a heavy right foot. Unfortunately now my little boy tells me off if I drive too fast and the bank manager tells me off for spending too much on the car itself. I fluttered with the idea of playing golf but rarely find the time. I’d also like to try some sea fishing, getting a boat, do more exercise and restore world peace. All of which seem a little bit distant at the moment but watch this space.
