“Hi i’m Bryony, Project Manager at Makemedia. I am involved in a variety of projects and production processes.”

Where did you come from?

I'm originally from sunny (?) Poole in Dorset. After A levels I had several random and soul destroying jobs but ended up working at Barclays International for a few years. I eventually decided I was'nt born to be a banker and applied to go to Brighton Uni to Study International Events Marketing. During my degree I spent a year working in Florida which was a bit mental but an amazing experience. I now have good friends in hot countries around the world - bonus. After finishing Uni I finally got an internship with Makemedia and they haven’t been able to get rid of me since.

What can you do?

I can cry milk which I think is a pretty good party trick. I originally joined the company in a marketing position but as my interests, skills and the company's needs changed I moved over to the production side of the business.

What do you do?

Due to my varied roles at Makemedia I have a good knowledge of all parts of the company which is useful when managing projects. I also enjoy account management including dealing with managed serviced clients. I've learnt enough web development to be able to make amends to our site or deal with bugs and change requests from clients. I still have an interest in marketing though, so also support Laura and the commercial team when they need it. In addition to project management, I get involved with other production tasks such as thinking of (and implementing) processes, user stories, support requests, wireframing & writing test scripts.

What do you like?

I like Music, going to festivals - especially in random countries, pilates, taking photos, Charlie Brooker and travelling to new places. I have recently started synchronised swimming as a member of the Brighton Dolphins and hope to be in a show for the fringe festival. Despite a fear of flying I have done the worlds highest skydive and I really want to try a bungee jump now!
