The Makemedia team is comprised of highly talented individuals, who work effectively as a team for the benefit of our clients. As an agency we value talent and communication very highly as we believe that these traits are inherent, where as skills can be learnt.

Where did you come from?

I grew up in Nottingham, then spent three formative years in Middlesbrough. Although much time was spent dodging burnt out cars, I passed my Industrial Design degree with flying colours and promptly got a job in the completely unrelated field of flight simulation.

What can you do?

I was originally employed as a 3D modeller, but my skill set grew as I learnt about building real world terrain (UK, Switzerland etc) for military flight sims, then onto hardware maintenance & onsite installation, pre-sales demos, software testing and currently web development and project management.

What do you do?

My role at Makemedia is really a technical project manager (don’t ask me to do any graphic design!). This means I oversee the development team but it also means have a lot of client contact. My role as Technical Director allows me to establish the technical direction and principles of the company, while also giving me the freedom for lots of R&D!

What do you like?

Good food, good wine, snowboarding and also reading. My favourite recent book is called ‘The singularity is near’ – it totally blew my mind with the possibilities and avenues technology could take over the next few decades.
